Cathy Turner, 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, GT- Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating.

Mrs. Cathy Underwood Turner of Columbus, MS, was born June 12, 1956. She was born on her father Gene's birthday which he was always proud of. Along with his wife Jean, they raised Cathy to love God and work hard. Cathy's husband Steve faithfully cared for her and their daughters over their forty-eight-year marriage. Cathy dedicated her life to raising her children, helping with her grandchildren, and the countless children she taught in daycare and at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and FVBC. She fought bravely through her battles with breast cancer and leukemia. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Cathy is preceded in death by her father- Gene Underwood.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband- Steve Turner; daughters- Beth (Shane) Brown, Charlotte Michael (Fiancé-Scott Coburn), and Marsha Turner; grandchildren- Matthew Michael, Alyssa Michael, Jessie Turner- Hall, Mackenzie Smith, and Ellie Smith; mother- Jean Wells Underwood; brothers- Larry (Kathy) Underwood, Tony Underwood; sisters – Darlene (Rob) Catrett, and Brenda Parry.

The family requests that any donations be sent to the children's department at Fairview Baptist Church.
