Charles Avon Forrester, 83, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Noland Hospital- DCH in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  Service will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Bro. Mike Dalton officiating and Mr. Ray Crane assisting. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Forrester was born June 17, 1940, in Columbus, MS.  Mr. Forrester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who lived his life for Christ and to make his family smile.  Mr. Forrester was Baptist Faith and was a faithful member of McBee Baptist Church and also was a deacon.  Mr. Forrester was a truck driver for many years and also was a veteran. Mr. Forrester is preceded in death by his parents Dora Marie Webb Forrester, Bennie Wilford Forrester, and Ola Mae Sansing Forrester.

Mr.Forrester is survived by his wife – Betty Enlow Forrester; son- Ricky Forrester; daughter- Tammy Frasher; grandchildren- Brandon (Kristen) Forrester, Adam (Monica) Forrester, Mallory Forrester, Layton Forrester, Tori Frasher, and Teri (Josh) Vandiver; great-grandchildren- Ty Forrester, Lilly Forrester, Avery Forrester, Asher Forrester, Aiden Forrester, Cooper Vandiver, Charlie Vandiver, and Clay Vandiver; brothers- Doug (Shirley) Forrester, and Larry (Sonja) Forrester; sister- Faye Bush.

Pallbearers will be- Brandon Forrester, Adam Forrester, Josh Vandiver, Craig Barham, Cameron Olsen, Tony Vaughn, and Layton Forrester. Honorary Pallbearers will be- Men of McBee Baptist Church, Ty Forrester, and Cooper Vandiver.
