Charles E. Taylor Charles E. Taylor 81 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 at his residence. Visitation was held Monday, February 14, 2011 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2:00pm at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Bro. Roy Hawkins officiating; Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Taylor was born May 31, 1929 in Columbus, MS to the late Christopher and Jessie Hathaway Taylor. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS. Mr. Taylor retired in 1996 from Hardin's Bakery with 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Taylor was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Columbus, MS and a former member of Masonic Lodge #5 F&AM, Columbus, MS. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Peggy Taylor, Columbus, MS; sons, Mike Taylor, Auburn, AL; Chris Taylor, Columbus, MS; daughter, Sue Davis, Columbus, MS; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chase Taylor, Josh Davis, T. J. Kyle, Ted Dahlem, Rudy Manning and Scotty Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Grady Partain, Walter Yates and Jim Newell.
