Charlie Morgan Watkins, Jr., 65, of Horton, AL passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Pete Bowen officiating.  The interment will be at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, MS, with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Watkins was born on August 23, 1957, in Columbus, MS, to Charlie Watkins, Sr., and Jewell Chunn Watkins. He loved hotrods and classic cars, but he especially loved the Lord.

Charlie Watkins, Jr. is survived by his wife – Sherry Dean Freshour Watkins; daughter – Kristy Watkins; son – Clay (Maegan) Gunnin; step-son – Justin Boone; step-daughter – Amber Boone; parents – Jewell Chunn Watkins and Charlie Watkins, Sr.; brother – Bobby (Tina) Watkins; sisters – Shelia (Will) Kellum and Alisa (Philip) Hollis; grandchildren – Hunter Gunnin, Bella Gunnin, Callie Beth Hood, Ma'Kayla Boone, Skylar Boone, Jayden Hayden, Kingston Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joey Watkins, Justin Boone, Ryan Watkins, Jacob Sanders, Will Kellum, and Philip Hollis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Lee, Dennis Patrick, James Watkins, and Michael Watkins.
