Charlotte Jean Holmes, 76, of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Holmes was born December 27, 1940, to the late Porter Luke and Charlene Cline Speed in Columbus, MS. She was the owner and operator of Scottie's Discount Store and retired from Wal-Mart as District Manager Secretary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband-Bobby Holmes; and her brother-Larry Speed.

Mrs. Holmes is survived by her daughter-Yvonne (Glen) Burns, Columbus, MS; son-Ricky (JoAnn)Eaves, Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Caleb Eaves, Hannah (Harrison) Hatcher, and Alex Bailey Burns; and great-grandchild-Heath Hatcher.
