Cheryl Marie Kirkland Beard, 50, of Caledonia, MS passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at her residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mitch McWilliams officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Beard was born February 8, 1967 in Lubbock, TX to Garland Louis and Barbara Jane Stewart Kirkland. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Beard was a Registered Nurse for many years. She was very artistic and enjoyed playing the piano. Mrs. Beard loved her family and will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her brothers- Gregory Allen Kirkland and Kevin Glenn Kirkland.

Mrs. Beard is survived by her husband- Jerry Besimi of Caledonia, MS; sons- Joshua (Erica) Daniel Adams, James (Brooke) Kirk Adams, Vance Jordan Mitchell; 5 grandchildren; mother- Barbara Jane Stewart Kirkland; father- Garland Louis Kirkland; sisters- Debra Whitney, Donna Jane Osborne; brother- David (Carsey) Kirkland and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Clark, Terry Boushard, Josh Adams, Kirk Adams, Jordan Mitchell, Justin Kirkland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hallon McCool, Dennis McCool, Garrett McWilliams and Tobie Krohe.
