Christine H. Brock, 91 of Caledonia, MS passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her residence. Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 1 -2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Don Harding officiating, and Bro. David Wood assisting. A graveside service will follow at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Brock was born December 20, 1921 in Lamar County, AL to the late Clarence and Maudie Woodham Holcomb. She was born and raised as a farmer's daughter and wife. Mrs. Brock worked at Seminole Mfg. for many years and then had her own shop and worked as a cosmetologist for 15 years. Mrs. Brock was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Royal Brock. Mrs. Brock is survived by her son-Dean Brock, Caledonia, MS, daughter- Elizabeth Ann Brock (Algie) Davis, Meridian, MS, sister- Ruth M. Hester, Columbus, MS, brother- Eugene Holcomb, Tupelo, MS, granddaughters- DeShannon Davis, Meridian, MS, Deanna L. Brock Dowdy, West Haven, Utah, Cassie M. Brock Blair, Panama City, FL, grandson- DeShon Davis, Carey, NC, great grandson- Collin Blair, Panama City, FL, great granddaughters- Selah Blair and Miranda Blair both of Panama City, FL, Nieces- Savannah Davis and Theia Cosby both of Cincinnati, OH.
