Clara Grissom Owen 84, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Egger Cemetery, Calendonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Owen was born on August 21, 1935, to the late Clovis and Lucindy Grissom. Mrs. Owen was a member of Caledonia Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owen is preceded in death by her husband- Curtis Wilson Owen; siblings- Francis Aldridge Eaves and Herschel Grissom; grandchildren- Sherri (Max) DeLeon and great-grandchild- Mazine DeLeon.

Mrs. Owen is survived by her children- Sybil (Joe Emmons Jr.) Prather and Dewayne (Sharon) Owen; grandchildren- Greg (Alisha) Prather, Curtis Dewayne (Makoto) Owen Jr., Ashley Owen (Michael) Parker, Ivan (Tessa Rooks) Owen, and Ashlyn "Vannie" (Justin) Nesser; great-grandchildren- Christopher Prather, Donovan Prather, Anthony Perrigin, Miguel DeLeon, Kento Owen, Tsubasa Owen, Madeleine Parker, Owen Parker, Meredith Parker, and Carter Nesser; great-great-grandchildren- Maddie Perrigin, and Sawyer Prather; siblings- Helen Grissom and BillyJoe Grissom; many nieces and nephews; family far and near and a loving church family Caledonia Pentecostal Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Prater, Curtis D. Owen Jr., Ivan Owen, Justin Nesser, Michael Parker, Joe Emmons, Anthony Perrigin, Miguel DeLeon, Christopher Prather, Donovan Prather, Kento Owen, Tsuvasa Owen, Owen Parker, Sawyer Prather, and Carter Nesser.
