Corrine Cobb Corrine Cobb, 89 of Columbus, MS passed away, Saturday, December 03, 2011 at Windsor Nursing Home, Columbus, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Cobb will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 1 – 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Josh Daffern. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Cobb was born April 23, 1922 in Kennedy, AL to the late Mack and Trannie Cooper Gilliam. She married Leo Cobb on May 9, 1942 and moved to Columbus. She was an active member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also an active member of the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Cobb was a self-employed seamstress for 60 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband – Leo Cobb, son – Kenneth Cobb, grandson – Jake Cobb and brother – Thurman Gilliam. Mrs. Cobb is survived by her Daughter – Kathleen (Terry) Fields, Millport, AL, Sons – Jerry (Donna) Cobb, Hattiesburg, Jimmy (Patsy) Cobb, Steens, MS, and Mike (Pam) Cobb, Columbus, MS, Sister – Hortense Johnson, Millport, AL, Brother – Thurston (Pauline) Gilliam, Millport, AL, 8 Grandchildren – Jared Cobb, Hattiesburg,MS, Derek and Corrie Cobb, Columbus, MS, Brooke (Jason) Perkins, Columbus, MS, Alan (Jenny) Fields, Reform, AL, Jonathan (Heather) Fields, Brad Cobb, Columbus, MS and Beth (Randy) West, Columbus, MS and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jared Cobb, Brad Cobb, Alan Fields, Jonathan Fields, Derek Cobb, Terry Fields and Jason Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Wise and Dr. Chris LeBrun.
