Cynthia Marie Nonamaker, 55, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Merit Health Wesley.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. -4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Nonamaker was born September 27, 1969, in Harris County, Texas, to Donald Skidmore and Dixie Burch Skidmore. In earlier years, she was a District 2 volunteer fire fighter. Mrs. Nonamaker worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital- GT in Columbus, MS for about 18-20 years.  She began working at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS in 2018 and received her Master's Degree and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2019. Since 2024, she's been working at a clinic in Starkville, MS. She was very family oriented. Mrs. Nonamaker enjoyed remodeling her own house all the time and loved arts and crafts. Mrs. Nonamaker is preceded in death by her husband- Dennis Gilliam and son- Brian Nonamaker; and Christa's father, George (Nina) Nonamaker, Jr.

Mrs. Nonamaker is survived by daughter- Christa Nonamaker (Dekota King); grandchildren- Blayde Edmonson and Lilith King; father- Donald Skidmore and mother- Dixie Burch Skidmore; aunt - Debbie (David) Habicht; cousins- Alyssa Burch and Haley Burch and her son, Keeton Burch; and numerous cousins and friends.
