Dakota Lane Barnett, 9 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Eastview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.

Dakota was born August 6, 2008, to Mickey Barnett and Heather Boykin in Columbus, MS.  He was a student in the 4 ^th grade at Caledonia Elementary School.  He was such a sweet soul and cared so much for all of his classmates and friends.  He was loved dearly by all those who knew him.

In addition to his parents – Mickey Barnett and Heather Boykin, Dakota is survived by his grandfather – James T. Bunton and sisters – Linda Mae Cosby and Macie Bryant.
