Daniel "Danny Mac" McNees Smith, 74 of Steens, MS passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at his residence.

No services are planned at this time.  Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith was born March 7, 1947, in Steens, MS to the late Travis and Gracie McNees Smith.  He was a gunsmith and a carpenter.  Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Army.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife – Kathi Williams Smith, Steens, MS; sons – Daniel (April) McNees Smith, Edmond Andrew Latham and Christopher (Megan) Sloan Latham; and 5 grandchildren.
