Darrell Raper 64, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Generations of Vernon, Alabama.

Visitation will be at Piney Grove Global Methodist Church on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:30 A.M. -11:00 A.M. Memorial Service will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Piney Grove Global Methodist Church in Steens, MS.

Mr. Raper was born October 22, 1959, in Amory, MS, to Cloys Leon Raper and Clytee Barrett Raper.  Mr. Raper was a 1977 graduate of New Hope High School. Mr. Raper worked at Baldor for many years in Maintenance. He retired after 23 years of service.  Mr. Raper was a member of Piney Grove Global Methodist Church in Steens, MS, where he loved attending. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family and church family. Mr. Raper is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister – Dwan Raper, brother- Randal (Janet) Raper, nephew- Gary (Brooke) Raper, niece- Amy (Jesse) Shamp, great nephew- Issachar Shamp, Titan Raper, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
