On June 19, 2024, Davis Pascal Harper, Jr., affectionately known as Dave, went to his heavenly home. He was born on April 27, 1958, to Davis Pascal Harper, Sr and Dean Warren Harper Threet.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Service will be Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Bro Rob Dowdle and Bro. Ben Yarber officiating.

Dave was known as a son, brother, friend, musician and many other titles, but his most important role was a Child of God. Dave worked in the electrical wholesale supply business all of his working years. He succumbed to his long hard fight with cancer after being diagnosed in 2015. Dave had a small biological family and many many friends that stayed by his side and supported him during his long illness. When his friends gathered, Dave was always the comedian who entertained with true stories from his younger days. He had a colorful and fun past from racing motorcycles to playing music and beyond. Once Dave surrendered his life to living Christian life, he could always be found on Sunday mornings playing guitar in the Worship band at his church. Dave was a member of the Worship team at Immanuel Baptist Church for many years.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister, Alice Perkins Hemby. He is survived by his sister Pam Harper Valentine.
