Dean McDill Mr. McDill went to be with his Lord and Savior April 18, 2012 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. To those left behind it may seem that he lost the battle, BUT he won the war. Visitation for Mr. McDill will be Friday April 20,2012 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday April 21,2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Victory Freewill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Bro. Al Hamm, officiating and Bro. Armon McDill, assisting. He will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, directing. Mr. McDill was born May 10, 1946 in Columbus, MS to the late Walter Thomas and Beatrice McDowell McDill. One of thirteen children, he was a lifelong native of Lowndes County. Mr. McDill was a member of Lake Norris Fishing Club and Victory Free Will Baptist Church, Columbus, MS where he taught teen/college Sunday class. He was formerly employed by National Cash Register Company, Pedro's Fine Mexican Food, Office Supply Co. and BESCO which merged with Toshiba Business Solutions. Mr. McDill was presently employed with Toshiba Business Solutions as the state service manager. He had worked in the business machine field for the past forty five years. In addition to his parents Mr. McDill was preceded in death by siblings-Leon McDill, David McDill, Elvin McDill, Raymond McDill, Ralph McDill, Kate McDill House, Mattie McDill Randolph and Margie McDill Mordecai. He is survived by his wife of 37 years. , Mrs. Nancy Perry McDill. Children –son Chris and wife Chantel Holder McDill, daughter-Amy McDill O'Neal and husband Matthew O'Neal, grandchildren-Aylah and Emilee O'Neal and Bryant McDill, brothers- Franklin McDill of Louisville, MS, Kenneth McDill of Hamburg, AR, sisters- Lucille McDill Carter of Columbus, MS and Ruby McDill Black of Ackerman, MS. Pallbearers are Charlie Johnson, Scott Whitehead, Jake Mallory, Ernie Williams, Danny Nickoles, Jim Harrell, Jimmy Dolan, and Reed Long. Honorary pallbearers are Victory Free Will Baptist Men, Victory Free Will Baptist teen/college Sunday School class, Toshiba Business Solutions employees, Lake Norris Fishing Club, Billy Sams, Rev. Randy Wright, Rev. Phil Ange, 3rd floor and TCU nursing staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Jennifer Washington, Brenda Waldrop of Gentiva Hospice and Baptist Cancer Center.
