Deborah Joan Steelmon Wheeler, 61, of Millport, Al passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at her residence.

Lowndes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wheeler was born September 9, 1955, to the late Herbert Glenn and Ruby Wiggs Steelmon in Vardaman, MS.  She loved fishing, working hard, and flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-Robert Steelmon; sisters-Martha Sue Bailey and Elizabeth Meyer; and grandmother-Martha D. "Aunt Mot" Steelmon.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her husband-David L. Wheeler, Millport, AL; daughters-Madeline Alexander, DeSoto County, MS and Jennifer Johnson, Lowndes County, MS; grandson-Hunter Johnson, Lowndes County, MS; granddaughter-Kayla Alexander, DeSoto County, MS; sisters-Phyllis Myles, LA and Barbara James, Grand Bay, AL; and brother-Alfred Glenn Steelmon, Mobile, AL.
