Della Elizabeth Black Della Elizabeth Black, 79 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 6 – 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Ed Knox officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Black was born September 24, 1933, in Millport, AL to the late Ferley and Flora Lee Moore. She lived in the Columbus, MS area for her entire life and enjoyed crafts. Mrs. Black was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She was a seamstress for Seminole Mfg. for 19 years and retired in 1982. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Black is preceded in death by her husband – Edwin Black; and brothers – William Ray Moore and Morris Moore. Mrs. Black is survived by her sons – Darrin (Eva) Black, Columbus, MS; Keith (Judy) Jones, Harleton, TX; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones, Colorado Springs, CO; Danny (Cathy) Jones, Orlando, FL; 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Randy Oswalt, John Gartman, Todd Waldrop, Louis Jennings, Clinton Jones, and Casey Spencer. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff of Aurora Australis Lodge, Columbus, MS.
