Dennis Michael McDanell, 62, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, 6:00pm from The Assembly Columbus (2201 Military Road Columbus, MS), with Pastor Jody Gurley to officiate. Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of Lowndes Funeral Home and Crematory in Columbus.

Mr. McDanell was born May 11, 1957, in California, to Comma A. McDanell and the late David E. McDanell. He married Trudy B. McDanell on February 18, 1978, and worked as a diesel mechanic. A Protestant by faith, he was a member of First Assembly in Columbus. He was a proud Boy Scout and 4-H member, he was also a member of C.A.V.E., a ministry which strengthened his relationship with God, by sharing creationism with others. He was a loyal and supportive husband and father who was quiet but shared a special sense of humor with those who loved him most. In his earlier life he enjoyed hunting, and shared an interest in guns.

Mr. McDanell was preceded in death by his Father David E. McDanell.

He is survived by his wife Trudy J. McDanell; three sons: Christopher M. McDanell, Robert C. (Danielle P.) McDanell and Andrew S. McDanell; mother: Comma A. McDanell; brother: David E. (Thadene) McDanell and one grandson Darian M. McDanell.
