Dewey Baker, 84, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at Windsor Place Columbus, MS.

A graveside service will be at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS on April 7, 2107 at 1:00 PM with Bro. Shelby Hazzard officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Baker was born July 6, 1932, to the late Bolt Frank and Lillie Isom Baker in Monroe County, MS. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a maintenance worker.  Mr. Baker was a member of Woodland Baptist church, Columbus, MS.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bolt Frank and Lillie Baker.

Mr. Baker is survived by his brother – Frank Baker, Columbus, MS; nephews – Frank N. Baker, Columbus, MS and Daniel Wayne Baker, Columbus, MS; nieces – Debbie Jane Humphries, Fulton, MS and Kathy Cribb, Greenville, SC.
