Dinnie R. Shelton, Jr. Dinnie Ray Shelton, Jr., 57 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at his residence. Visitation was held Sunday, February 06, 2011 from 1 – 3PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 06, 2011 at 3PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Butch Hill officiating. Interment was in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Shelton was born November 2, 1953 in Lowndes County, MS to Dinnie Ray Shelton and Catherine Ruth Powell Hamby. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS and was self-employed in maintenance. Mr. Shelton loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his brother, David Michael Thomas. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelton is survived by his companion of 20 years – Patricia Greenwood, Columbus, MS; three daughters he loved dearly; and sisters – Sherry Parker, Columbus, MS and Theresa Atkins, Columbus, MS. Pallbearers were Chris Glorioso, Jake Fowler, Donnie Winders, Justin Glover, James Smith and Matt Fowler.
