Dolly Smithhart, 76, of Columbus, MS passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 12-2 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bill Hurt officiating.

Mrs. Smithhart was born August 18, 1942, to the late Edna Williamson and Vernor Otto Crocker. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. She was the former president of the B & PW Club in Indianola, MS. Mrs. Smithhart was the owner of Dolly's Stained Glass and former owner of The Cellar Arts and Crafts. She taught stained glass classes throughout the Delta from 1997-2012. She enjoyed painting & Arts & Crafts. Mrs. Smithhart loved traveling and spending time with her family. She was a math teacher for 25 years at Indianola Jr. High School and retired in 1996.

Mrs. Smithhart is survived by her husband-John Dewitt Smithhart, Columbus, MS; daughter – Debra Palmer (David), Columbus, MS; sons- Charles Smithhart (Joy), Cleveland, MS and Marty Smithhart (Erin), Olive Branch, MS; sisters- Vernice (Joe) Few, Greenville, MS and Brenda (Joe) Groover, Fayetteville, GA; brothers- Bobby (Linda) Crocker, Ridgeland, MS and Joe (Ona) Crocker, Avon, MS; grandchildren-John Martin, Sam, Will, and Elizabeth Smithhart, Anna Kathryn Beckett.

Pallbearers will be Family Members. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Joy Sunday School Class at Pleasant Hill.
