Don Jerald Blair, age 83, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 4, 2022, at MS
State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at 2
PM at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS, with visitation preceding at 1:00 PM

Mr. Blair was born April 7, 1939, in Halls Crossroads, TN, to the late Woody and Stella Blair. After serving
in the US Air Force, he attended William Carey University, where he met his wife Connie. Mr. Blair
became a registered seed analyst, working with the MS Department of Agriculture, the MSU State Seed
Lab, and seed labs in Columbus, MS; Enid, OK; and Memphis, TN.

An active member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, he served faithfully in the Car Care ministry.

Mr. Blair was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Connie Fuqua Blair of Columbus, MS and siblings
Edward Blair and Ruth Ailor. He leaves his son Timothy Blair and wife Robin of Waynesville, NC; and
daughter Julie Consalvo and husband Keith of Las Vegas, NV; Judy and Jim Barnett of Wichita, KS; Ira
Fuqua, Jr. of Columbus, MS; and Janice and Gerald Ryals of Columbus, MS. He also leaves his
grandchildren Christina and Matthew Blair, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and
cousins.
