Donna Provost,73, originally from Aberdeen, MS passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Mountain Brook, AL.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Bread of Life Fellowship Church, 2659 New Hope Road, Columbus MS.  A funeral service will follow at noon with Bro. Jack Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Donna was born October 3, 1948, to Bruce Ayres and Juanita Lindsey Ayres. She was a 1966 graduate of New Hope High School and worked with Bellsouth as an Operator and Drafter until she retired. Mrs. Donna got bored after retirement and started working at Comer Packing Company and worked there for over a decade.  She was a huge Mississippi State Bulldog fan and insisted on wearing her maroon and white as she walked through Heaven's Gate.  Mrs. Donna loved shopping, going to concerts, going out to eat, getting her nails and hair done, and especially spending time with her family and friends.  Mrs. Donna was a member of Bread of Life Fellowship Church, Columbus, MS.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Donna was preceded in death by her husband – John James Provost, Jr, grandmother – Gertie Jo Richards, and grandson – Dustin.

Mrs. Donna is survived by her daughter – Lisa McLain, Mountain Brook, AL; son – John Provost, Memphis, TN; sisters – Alisa (Ronnie) Burgess and Angela (Terry) McDaniel; grandchildren – Logan, and Dallas.; and nieces and nephews – Allyson Burgess, Ryan (Anne) McDaniel, Sara ( Joe) Esp, Jonathan (Angie) Burgess, and Rachael (Jay) Ward.

Pallbearers will be Rob Van Namen, Danny Rast, Ray Comer, James "Butch" Burgess, James Dowdy, and Terry McDaniel.  Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Bread of Life Fellowship Church and coworkers at Comer Packing Company.
