Dora Hankins Guyton Dora Hankins Guyton, 99, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Trinity Healthcare, Columbus, MS. Graveside services for Mrs. Guyton will be Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Susie Jones, officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, directing. Mrs. Guyton was born August 15, 1912 to the late James Burton & Eliza Bell Rector Hankins in Vernon, AL. She was a longtime resident of Columbus and a member of Main Street Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS. She retired in 1986 as a secretary with Columbus Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Guyton was a member of the Reader's Guild and loved crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents Mrs. Guyton was preceded in death by her husband – Keith Guyton, son – Keith "Skipper" Guyton, daughter – Patricia Marsh, brothers – Houston Hankins, Clinton Hankins and Lewis Hankins. Mrs. Guyton is survived by her son-in-law – Tate Marsh, Columbus, MS, granddaughter – Erin (David) Beall, great-granddaughters – Audrey, Callahan and Sanders Beall and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
