Doris T. Foreman Doris T. Foreman, 82 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday May 31, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Sunday June 3, 2012 from 1-3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Sunday June 3, 2012 at 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Ed Golden officiating and Bro. Danny Avery assisting. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Foreman was born October 11, 1929 in Gordo, AL to the late Thomas and Murdle Brown Smalley. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Foreman attended Gordo High School, Gordo, AL. She retired in 1982 from Beneke Manufacturing, Columbus, MS with seven years of service. Mrs. Foreman also loved to cook, garden, and dance at The Junction. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foreman is preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Charles Foreman, Sr., her son, Larry Foreman, brothers, Edd and Morris "Bud" Smalley, and sisters, Helen Aldridge and Effie Hunter. Mrs. Foreman is survived by her daughter-Jean (Rickey) McGill of Columbus, MS; sons- Rubin (Patty) Foreman, Columbus, MS, Phillip (Tammy) Simpson, Pensacola, FL and John Simpson, Columbus, MS; Sisters- Bessie Howard and Bertha Hollis both of Columbus, MS ; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; longtime friend- Robert Finch. Pallbearers will be Chris Foreman, Austin Hill, Chris Cooper, Ricky Hill, Kenny Millsaps, David Helton, Tony Golden and Joe Golden. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Staff of Aurora Australis Nursing Home, Columbus, MS and Trinity Nursing Home, Columbus, MS.
