Doris Arlene Sims, 67, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.

A graveside service will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Sims was born on July 9, 1953, in Columbus, MS to the late Lola Belle Taggart and James Rowan Taggart. She enjoyed collecting and always helping others. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sims is preceded in death by her brother- Raymond Taggart and sister- Mary Alice Callahan.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband- Roy Sims of Columbus, MS; sons- Clint (Shelly) Sims, and Alex (Christine) Sims; daughter- Heather (Stan) Lang; 4 grandchildren; sisters- Faye Greggs, Shirley Delk, Vicky Dvorak, Sue McAdams, Betty Hildreth, and Rowena Smith; and brother- Stanley Taggart.
