Doris E. Smith Fulton Doris E. Smith Fulton, 79 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Regency Hospital, Meridian, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Jeff James officiating. Interment will be in Beersheba Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Fulton was born December 2, 1931 in Jackson, MS to the late Ronald Charles and Rebecca Boggs Smith. She was retired as a book keeper for Hardin's Bakery with 20 years of service. Mrs. Fulton enjoyed making ceramics, dolls and collecting. She also enjoyed landscaping, gardening and had a passion for traveling. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fulton is preceded in death by her husbands - James O. Perkins, Sidney E. Nolen and George Fulton. Mrs. Fulton is survived by her sons - James (Teresa) Perkins, Columbus, MS; Charles (Karen) Perkins, Columbus, MS; brother - Ronald G. (Jane) Smith, Columbus, MS; grandchildren - Cassie M. (Mack) Black, Jill (Scott) Sudduth and Elyse (Bubba) Lawler and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronald V. Smith, Kent Smith, Mack Black, Bubba Lawler, Scott Duncan and Allen Duncan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff at Trinity Place, Dr. John Stanback, Dr. Bart Williams and Dr. Lance Busch.
