Doris Marie Upton, 90, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

A graveside service will be Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tommy Gillon officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Upton was born on September 25, 1930, in Columbus, MS to the late Stella Sanders and GC Helms. She was active with her husband in the VFW and the American Legion enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the casino. She enjoyed going camping, and watching golf on T.V. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Upton is preceded in death by husband- Edward "Gene" Upton; sons- Doug Upton, and Robert Allen Upton; and brother- Doug Helms.

Mrs. Upton is survived by her son- Tommy Upton of Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Robert Allen, Kristie Clark, Kelly Humphres, Rachel Landrum, and TJ Upton; and great-grandchildren- Douglas Humphres, William Humphres, Madalyn Humphres, Alexis Pratt, Shyann Smith, and Shanna Chapelle.
