Dorothy " Dot" Cole, 92, of Columbus, MS, passed away on April 20, 2023, at her residence in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Monday, April 24, 2023, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church in downtown Columbus. Service will follow visitation. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Ms.

Ms. Dorothy was born July 12, 1930, in Columbus, MS to the late Perry Benton Stanley and late Willie May Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Ms. Dot attended almost every activity and event they planned. She worked many years at United Technologies as an inspector. She loved her church family. Ms. Dot loved working in her yard, planting flowers, and crocheting. In addition to her parents, Ms. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband- Walter R. Cole; sisters- Margaret McReynolds and Mary Kline, and brother- Perry Stanley.

Ms. Dorothy is survived by her daughters – Nina Cole and Linda Hall; two grandchildren; James Hall Jr. and Roger Hall; 3 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and sister- Anne Hendrix, The family would like to Thank Baptist Memorial Hospital and Hospice, all doctors, nurses, and caretakers on the 3 ^rd floor.

Pallbearers will be Bobby McReynolds, David Earl McReynolds, Roberts McReynolds, Marshall McReynolds, Robert McReynolds, and Joe Hendrix. Honorary Pallbearers will be Koinonia Sunday School Class.
