Dorothy Sue Delk, 84, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Community Baptist Church, Columbus, MS from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at Community Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Bro. Bill Delk officiating and Bro. David Coleman assisting. Interment will be at Community Baptist Church Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Delk was born July 11, 1932, in Lamar County, AL to the late Verbon and Lois Gay Henderson. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Delk enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Canaan Baptist Church for over 20 years. She also loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Mrs. Delk worked at Columbus Hospital as a record keeper for many years.

Mrs. Delk is survived by her sons – Bill (Pat) Delk of Columbus, MS, Danny Delk of Jackson, GA, and Larry (Debbie) Delk of Macon, MS; daughter – Donna (Scott) Renfroe of McDonald, GA; seven grandchildren; three great-grand-children; and one nephew – Tim McDonald.

Pallbearers will be Joey Delk, Bill Delk, Jr. Kyle Delk, Kenny Delk, Brett Delk and Allen Delk. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Delk and Scott Delk.
