Dorothy Taylor Lee, 89 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Windsor Place, Columbus, MS.

A graveside service will be Monday, July 27, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Dr. Tommy Taylor officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Lee was born December 30, 1930, to the late Claude L. and Dovie Lee Pearson Hankins in Caledonia, MS.  She retired in 1992 from United Technologies after 34 years of service, a member of the AFL-CIO, loved reading, listening to music, and taking care of her grandchildren. Mrs. Lee was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husbands – W.B. Taylor and Irv Lee and 9 siblings – C.L. Hankins, Cecil Hankins, Hershel Hankins, Loyce Hankins, A.J. Hankins, James Earl Hankins, Linnie Ray Hankins, Nell Thompson, and Betty Pounders.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her sons – Rodney (Emily) Taylor, Columbus, MS, and Tommy (Donna) Taylor, Cleveland, MS;  8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
