Dorothy "Dot" Swedenburg, 89, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Friday, August 23, 2019, at her residence.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Community Center, Ethelsville, AL. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Forest United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL with Rev. Linda Shelton officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Swedenburg was born August 6, 1930, in Columbus, MS to the late Early Monroe Cook and Valeria Irene Trasher. She was a member of Forest Methodist Church and was in the Forest Community Singles Club. Mrs. Swedenburg had a love for camping and traveling which she shared closely with her children. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Swedenburg enjoyed taking care of everyone and looking after everyone in the community. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swedenburg is preceded in death by her husband- Reginald Swedenburg; sisters- Betty Jean Whitten, Louise Fulgham, and Margie Nell Cooper; sister-in-law-Margie Swedenburg.

Mrs. Swedenburg is survived by daughters-Suzanne Swedenburg, Ethelsville, AL and Regina (Joe) Loudermilk, Columbus, MS; son- Keith (Patsy) Swedenburg, Ethlesville, AL; grandchildren- Brian (Heather) Swedenburg, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Swedenburg, Beth (Beau) Buse and Clint (Leigh) Loudermilk; great-grandchildren- Haley Swedenburg, Bailey Swedenburg, Grady Loudermilk, Evelyn Loudermilk, Bennett Buse, Liz Buse, Jace Johnson, Gabe Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Forest United Methodist Church, Ethelsville, AL.
