Dorothy West, age 84, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Black officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. West was born on October 13, 1933, in Columbus, MS to the late Leslie and Lulie Cole Jones. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. Ms. West was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her sisters- Vivian Swartz, and Maxine Jones.

Ms. West is survived by her niece- Elaine (Quavis) Romedy of Columbus, MS; nephew- Lloyd (Kay) Swartz of Columbus, MS; and a host of grand nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hildreth, Corey Kinder, Shane Kinder, Larry Richardson, Hiram Chain, and Eddie Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church.
