Dot Wilson Sanders Dot Wilson Sanders, 77 of Columbus, MS passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 18 at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating and Bro. Don Harding assisting. Interment will be in Rowan Cemetery, Caledonia, MS; Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Sanders was born November 29, 1933 in Monroe County, MS to the late Norman Gundy and Dealie Ann McDuffy Pounders. She was a lifetime resident of Lowndes Co., MS and retired from United Technologies as an assembler with 34 years of service. Mrs. Sanders was a member of Border Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS, Joy Sunday School Class, served on the Primetimers Committee and loved to garden. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wilson; brothers, Quinon Pounders, Edward Pounders, Lester Pounders and sister, Rachel Morrow. Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband, John Winston Sanders, Caledonia, MS; daughters, Judy (Billy) Finch, Caledonia, MS; Linda (David) Hoehn, Lima, OH; Nancy (Jack) Larmour, Caledonia, MS; sons, Glenn (Ginny) Wilson, Caledonia, MS; Steve Wilson, Caledonia, MS; brother, James (Mary Ellen) Pounders, Hamilton, MS; sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy Finch, Randy Finch, Jack Larmour, Chase Larmour, Trey Wilson, Travis Williams and Cole Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class, Dr. Lance Busch and CCU Staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.
