Douglas Delane Cook, 76 of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Lowndes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cook was born December 31, 1945 in Pickens County, AL to the late Tifton and Lounell Stokes Cook.  He retired from Omnova where he worked in the Receiving Department for 35 years.  Mr. Cook was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife – Alta Watt Cook and brother – James Earl Cook.

Mr. Cook is survived by his sons – Toby (Virginia) Cook and Damon Cook and daughter – Melissa (Bo) Buxton; brother – Dale (Patsy) Cook; grandchildren – Kera (John) Wicker, Arli Cook, Chevy Cook, Bren Cook, Justin Cook, Seth Cook, and Graham Buxton.
