Duward Brown, 85, of Caledonia, MS passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. Visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 from 4-5PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Monday, May 11, 2015 at 6PM at Lampkin Cemetery, Vernon, AL with Bro. Sammy Crawford and Rev. Don Harding officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Brown was born December 24, 1929 in Hamilton, AL to the late Dr. James Rias and Mrs. Martha Sedera McCarley Brown. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University. Mr. Brown was self-employed in real estate and insurance for 35 years, retiring in 2009 at age 63. He was a member at Kolola Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his son - Jeffrey Lloyd Brown, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife - Peggy Ann Richardson Brown, Caledonia, MS, daughters - Teresa Brown (William H.) Fowler, Caledonia, MS and Beth Brown (Jerry) Lavender, Columbus, MS; sons - Greg Brown, Mountain Brook, AL and Stacy (Anita) Brown, Caledonia, MS; grandchildren - Matt (Emily) Fowler, Ben Fowler, Elizabeth Ann Lavender, Leigh (Clint) Loudermilk, Stephanie (James) Hays, Steven Lavender, Jake (Whitney) Brown, Parker Brown, Bailey Brown, Hays Brown, Seth Brown, Sawyer Brown, and Ansley Brown; and 5 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mr. Brown's grandsons.
