Retired Master Sgt. Dwaine S. Clark, 87, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at UAB Palliative Care in Birmingham, Alabama.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2024, from 10 AM - 11 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.
Mr. Clark was born May 14, 1936, in Steens, MS to the late Julius E. and Vesta Mae Clark. Retired Msgt. Dwaine Clark, served 20 years in the Air Force, serving 8 years overseas in Germany, Taiwan and two tours to Vietnam with the remaining years served in the States. He also was retired from Clark & Clark Trading Co. Inc. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and attended Bob Talley's Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his first wife- Gladus Clark, second wife – Kam Clark, and brother – James Earl Clark.
Survivors include his wife- Betty Foley Clark, son – Tony Clark (Diane), Caledonia, MS. daughter- Diane Clark McCullough (Herb), Navarre, Florida, sister- Brenda Pennington (Don), nine grandchildren, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be the Mr. Clark's Family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Pennington, Dan Harris, Jerry Nickoles, Gary Nickoles, Terry Nickoles, Randy Nickoles, Larry Austin, Gary Smith, Ricky Cowart, Darryl Pulliam, and Scott Perkins.
