Early Earvin Lancaster, 82 of Ethelsville, AL passed away, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Ray officiating. Interment will be in Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Lancaster was born June 18, 1932 to the late Olin and Martha Hall Lancaster in Gordo, AL he was a self-employed farmer for over 40 years in Pickens County, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Ethelsville Baptist Church, Ethelsville, AL. Mr. Lancaster loved to play guitar, quail hunt and work in the garden. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lancaster was preceded in death by his brothers - Edward Lancaster, Clifton Lancaster and Bill Lancaster; sisters - Nell Coleman and Pauline Mullinex. Mr. Lancaster is survived by his wife of 60 years - Ruth Woolbright Lancaster, Ethelsville, AL; daughter - Donna (Gary) Tilley, Ethelsville, AL; son - Danny (Debbie) Lancaster, Ethelsville, AL, 4 grandchildren - Kaitlynn Tilley, Danielle Lancaster, Jessica (Scottie) Perrigin and Jonathan (Nicole) Goodman; 2 great-grandchildren - Caden and Colin Perrigin; sisters - Ruth Jones, Louise Chain and Joanne Eudy; brothers - Truman (Faye) Lancaster and Verdo (Maxine) Lancaster; a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog - Tippy Lancaster. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Goodman, Scottie Perrigin, Wayne Sullivan, James Woolbright, Roy Mullinex Arnold Sullivan and Jerry Powell.
