Eddie Holliday

Eddie Barron Holliday, Sr., 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at his residence.

The visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Holliday was born November 6, 1951, in Columbus, MS to the late Eddie Estille Holliday and Carolyn Thomas Holliday. He retired as a welder from Ceco after working for 34 years. Mr. Holliday enjoyed cooking, grilling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be missed greatly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Holliday is preceded in death by his sister – Martha Hunt.

Mr. Holliday is survived by his wife – Melissa Holliday; son – Eddie B. Holliday, Jr.; step-son – Michael (Kimberly) Abels; grandchildren – Jessica Holliday, Justin Holliday, Jameson Abels, and Sophia Abels; 3 nieces – Tammy, Nicole, and Kristen.
