Eddie Phillips Eddie Ray Phillips, 51, of Caledonia, MS passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at his residence. Visitation was held Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Phillips was born May 7, 1961 in Columbus, MS to the late Silas and Kathryn Baucom Phillips. He was a lifetime resident of Lowndes County, MS and was a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. Mr. Phillips was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed shooting and riding 4-wheelers. He was a member of the NRA and was a gunsmith. Mr. Phillips retired in 2008 as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his brother - Terry Lee Phillips and nephew - Gerard Perkins. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife – Kathy Lundy Phillips, Caledonia, MS; sister – Kathy (Randy) Perkins, Caledonia, MS; brother – Jeff (Teri) Phillips, Amory, MS; nephews – Terry (Kelly) Phillips, Silas (Bridgett) Phillips; nieces – Alicia Perkins, Patricia (Dwayne) Grubb, Rhonda Wood; Great nephew – Terry David Phillips; Great niece – Preslee Phillips; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers were Albert Campbell, Denny Young, Warren Pounders, Walt Willis, and C.V. Northington.
