Obituary

On the morning of June 19, 2015, William Edward Doyle, known to everyone as Eddy, went to begin his eternal life in heaven after a year and a half battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Church in New Hope followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. conducted by Josh Daffern with interment in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowndes Funeral Home. Eddy was born in Columbus, MS, on Sept. 18, 1972, to Florence Caldwell and the late Dwight Delaney Doyle. At an early age, Eddy accepted Christ as his savior and tried to live his life accordingly. Eddy attended New Hope High School and MUW. He was a founding father of the Brotherhood of Beta Kappa Tau. He attended Mt. Vernon Church. He loved to play the drums for his own pleasure and for anyone who would listen! He worked for West Brothers Construction Company for 15 years as a project manager. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed Mississippi State football, listening to Tanner play guitar, watching Will play sports, and sitting on the back porch talking to Tracy. Eddy was a lively man whose laughter and wit made everyone smile and feel at ease. In addition to his father, Eddy was preceded in death by his younger brother Mark Doyle. He is survived by his wife Tracy Doyle, daughter Tanner, son Will, mother Florence Caldwell; step-father Bill Caldwell, mother in law - Sandra Thomas, aunt Bernice Lile (Terry), uncle Don Edgeworth (Julie), and aunt Roma Williams, all of Columbus, Mississippi. Eddy leaves behind many, many friends who enjoyed precious memories shared in his young life. Pallbearers will be Mark Box, John Meadows, Jason Perrigin, Vince Rivera, Richard Lile, Todd Odom, Mike Lum, Rob Winklepleck, James Brown, Jason Hall, Brody West, and Scott Furr. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of West Brothers Construction Company and the Brotherhood of Beta Kappa Tau Fraternity. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213.
