Edgar Hardy Adams, 80, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 11:30- 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Kenneth Heneger officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery, Millport, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Adams was born July 19, 1939, in Alabama to the late Ethel Duckworth and Ed Adams. Mr. Adams married the love of his life, Elizabeth Vail on August 8, 1958, in Columbus, MS.  He attended Liberty Assembly of God in Millport, AL. Mr. Adams worked for APAC Mississippi as a heavy equipment operator for 31 years, also worked at Falcon for 6 years and then he was self-employed.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 61 years- Elizabeth Vail Adams; sons- Morris (Cindy) Adams of Ethelsville, AL and Scot (Toni) Adams of Millport, AL; daughters- Lori (Steve) Chitwood of Ethelsville, AL and Carla White of Ethelsville, AL; grandchildren- Brian (Andrea) Dell Adams, Brandy Nicole Hall, Eric (Rachel) Adams, Jeremy Steven Chitwood, Joshua Trey Chitwood, Justin (Nicole) Thomas White, Jonathan Charles White, Jaleb (Chelsey) Scot White, Kari (Blake) Elizabeth Moore, and Kory Scot Adams; great-grandchildren- Hunter, Laken, Kinsley, Wyatt, Gracie, Charlie, Drake, Bennon, Adalyn, Abigail, Isabella, Ryker, Amelia, Waverly, Daylin, Raelynn, and Colton.

Pallbearers will be Brain Adams, Eric Adams, Jeremy Chitwood, Josh, Chitwood, Justin White, Jaleb White, Jonathan White, Kory Adams, Hunter Chitwood, and Blake Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. James Gardner, Dr. Cameron Huxford, Dr. John King, Dr. Brett Brown, Bud Phillips, Jimmy Graham, Kenneth Vail, Charles Vail, Timmie Vail, and William Butler.
