Edith Glenn McCoy Walden, 90, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Booneville Cemetery, Booneville, MS and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Walden was born January 3, 1927 to the late Fred Alexander and Velma Kate Smith McCoy in Booneville, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbus, the Junior Auxiliary of Booneville, MS and a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants, Mississippi Society. Mrs. Walden was an Administrative Assistant in medical records for Dr. Duckworth. for 13 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walden is preceded in death by her husband-John Duffy Walden, daughter-Cathy Ann Walden, brothers- Howard McCoy, Clayborn McCoy, Smith Dean McCoy, and Wynzelee McCoy.

Mrs. Walden is survived by daughters- Paula Booth of Columbus, MS and Janet Deerman of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters- Helen Hannon and Ouida Cunningham both of Tupelo, MS;  grandson - Richard Hal (Emilee) Bruen; great-grand daughter  - Hallie Jane Bruen and several nieces and nephews.
