Elaine Swartz Romedy of Columbus, MS passed away July 23, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, from cancer and pneumonia complications.

A visitation is scheduled for July 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Black and Bro. Stuart Vail officiating.  Interment will be at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Elaine was born December 12, 1949, to the late Lloyd Carl Swartz, Sr., and Vivian Geneva Swartz.  She graduated from Lee High School in 1968 and married Quavis Romedy in 1982.  They just celebrated their 40 ^th anniversary.  Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, participating in church activities, and shopping with all her girls.  She was a faithful member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church where she served as secretary-treasurer and a member of the board of directors.  Elaine was also the co-owner of Triangle Service Company, Columbus, MS since 1996.

Mrs. Romedy is survived by her husband – Quavis Romedy; daughters - Wendi (Ellis) Lachney and Sara (Chad) Turner; grandchildren – McKensi Lachney, Jaxon Turner, Brynann Turner, Jovi Turner, and Nova Turner; brother – Lloyd (Kay) Swartz, Jr.; niece – Kim Ranney and nephew – Andy Swartz.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hildreth, Jay McCrary, Keith Simpson, Andy Bailey, Bryce Braddock, Ricky Hudson, and Wayne Jones.  Honorary pallbearers are Oncology Infusion Group – Baptist Memorial Hospital and Kindred Health Services.
