Eleanor G Comeau

Eleanor G. Comeau, 77, of Homosassa, FL, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away January 22, 2026 at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL.

The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 21, 2026,from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

She was born in Isola, MS, on January 26, 1948, to the late William “Ed” and Grace (Naron) Peacock. Eleanor was a realtor and arrived in Florida in 2010, coming from Columbus, MS. She was Baptist by Faith, and enjoyed fishing, farming, and taking care of her cattle.

Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Timothy Comeau. Other survivors include her children; Toni Lawrence of Homosassa, FL, Cecelia (John) Nelson of Sanford, NC, Loria (Lynn) McCrimmon of Millport, AL, Matthew (Juliet) Comeau of Brownsville, Maine, and Amy (Thomas) Madoro of Vernon, AL; sisters, Betty Garrison and Nancy (Ronny) Shelton of Columbus, MS; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
