Eleanor "Dot" Avery Young, 79, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at her residence.

A graveside service will be Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Young was born on May 15, 1941, in Rose Hill, MS to the late Lois Reynolds Avery and Arter Avery. She worked for McCoy Manufacturing as an Inspector for over 25 years. Mrs. Young enjoyed gardening, taking care of her wild animals, going to The Junction, and dancing. She also enjoyed going camping with her husband and friends, and she loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her sister- Helen Monday.

Mrs. Young is survived by her husband- Terry Joe Young of Columbus, MS; daughters- Clara Lynn Bailey of Columbus, MS, Amy (Bruce) Hoffman of West Point, MS, and Tammy (Rodney) Godfrey of Columbus, MS; and son- Robert Todd Bailey of Columbus, MS.
