Elizabeth Sue Barnes Elizabeth Sue Barnes, 53, of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6 PM - 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services for Mrs. Barnes will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bubba Dees officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Barnes was born January 25, 1958 in Tampa, FL to the late Alfred and Hazel Mills Courtney. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 17 years having moved from Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Mrs. Barnes was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband, Daniel T. Barnes, Sr., Columbus, MS; son, Daniel T. Barnes, Jr.; daughter, Shelley Barnes (Lance) Orsborn, Hamilton, MS; sister, Vaunda McCutcheon, Tampa, FL and one grandson, Chase Bradley. Pallbearers will be Travis Stanley, Lance Orsborn, Matt Smith, Paul Smith, Jack McWilliams, Mike Meggs and Lance Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Caden Shane, Thomas Burmaster, Kelsie Shane, Brianna Smith, Ashlynn Smith and Jessie Turner. Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital, 2500 N.
