Ellen Everhart Ellen Ruth Everhart, 88 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation was held Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5 - 6 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service was held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 6 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS was in charge of local arrangements. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Lewis, IA. Mrs. Everhart was born June 9, 1923 in Lewis, Iowa to the late Arthur Edwin and Maude Montague Dewey. She was a resident of Columbus, MS for the past 8 years having moved from Iowa. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Everhart is preceded in death by her husband - Roy Wesley Everhart, Jr. Mrs. Everhart is survived by her daughter - Julie Ann Everhart, Columbus, MS.
