Elna Eunell "Nell" Burrus, 85, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at her residence.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016, at 3:00 PM at State Line Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.

Mrs. Burrus was born August 23, 1930,  to the late Spence Hollis and Doshie Canterbury Smith in Fayette, AL. She was a waitress and a member of State Line Baptist Church.  Mrs. Burrus enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and friends; and she always looked for the good in everyone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband-Henry Edward Fowler and her husband-Wesley Burrus.

Mrs. Burrus is survived by her sons-Richard (Wanda) Fowler, Robin (Pauline) Fowler, both of Columbus, MS; and Tony (Elizabeth) Staten, Montgomery, AL; daughters-Shadda (Billy)Elmore, Fayette, AL; Lisa (Bobby) Vanlandingham, Columbus, MS; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-Faye Maddox; and a host of nieces and nephews.
