Elsie Dean Porter, 90, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Trinity Health Care, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 2-3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 PM, with Pastor Matt Moehring officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Kennedy, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Porter was born April 3, 1929, in Kennedy, AL  to the late Erdeal Watkins and Adrian Gilpin. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. Mrs. Porter worked at Seminole as a seamstress for 30 years. She loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Porter is preceded in death by her husband- Walter Porter and her brother- Dalton Gilpin.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her son- Max (Debbie) Porter; grandchildren- Ashley (Miles) Parker and Summer Porter; great-grandchildren- Bryson Parker and Mason Parker.

Pallbearers will be Randy Hegwood, David Brewer, Jay Campbell, Miles Parker, Coleman Swain, and Dale Hardin.
